People are asking why their FFLs are not allowing them to buy suppressors without registration. While the DOJ has already signaled it is not going to appeal and the 7-day temporary injunction has expired, the government has 30 days to file an appeal. That deadline exists even if the intent doesn’t. So, to be safe, many FFLs are waiting until the expiration of the appeal deadline, which is September 4, 2026 If the DOJ hasn’t appealed by 11:59pm, the ruling is permanent
