Devon Holder Attorney for Gun Owners of Arkansas (GO-AR)

Mr. Holder has ten years of experience in criminal defense, including three of them as a public defender.  He’s defended over a thousand criminal cases with charges ranging from Misdemeanors to Class Y Felonies, which carry a maximum sentence of life in prison.  Many of those cases included successful cases of self-defense.  Mr Holder has experience in criminal post-conviction relief proceedings as well as criminal appeals at the Arkansas Court of Appeals and the Arkansas Supreme Court.

 

Mr. Holder graduated from Hendrix College in 2008 and from William H. Bowen School of Law in 2010.  While in law school he served on the Law Review and externed for Justice Jim Gunter at the Arkansas Supreme Court.  Mr Holder has a weekly column, “Did You Know,” in the Pocahontas Star Herald and the Spring River Chronicle.  He served as Chairman of the Randolph County Republican Committee from March 2019 until April 2020, and he served as President of the Randolph and Lawrence County Bar Association in 2012. 

 

He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Doni Martin Center for Developmental Disabilities, a position he has held since 2017.  Mr Holder is also a member of the Pocahontas Rotary Club and is an active member of the Witt’s Chapel Baptist Church in Maynard, where he has taught Sunday School for children, youth, and adults.  He lives with his wife, Amy (Griggs) Holder and daughter, Zoey, in Maynard.
